The waiting time is finally over: The group divisions and the detailed schedule for this year’s 33rd International Schmelz Youth Tournament are now confirmed (see the dedicated button here on the homepage). For the first team of the host club, WAT Fünfhaus, the tournament begins for the 2012 boys’ age group on Friday, August 28, at 9:00 AM on Court 3 at the University Sports Center on the Schmelz with a Vienna derby against the Handball Wölfe Wien. For the oldest boys’ category (born in 2010 or later), the first match takes place simultaneously, and it promises to be a thriller: guests TVB Stuttgart will face off against HC Fivers WAT Margareten (please note this match will be held at the Tellgasse sports hall).

The Schmelz tournament features girls’ and boys’ competitions across three age categories, specifically 2014, 2012, and 2010. For the girls’ 2012 age group, for example, the schedule includes an exciting Czech-Slovak duel between TJ Sokol Kobylisi from Prague and SMF-HK Zilina from neighboring Slovakia, set for Friday at 2:50 PM on Court 4 at the University Sports Center on the Schmelz.
The times for the final matches have also been confirmed:
Saturday, August 29, 4:30 PM, Court 2: Boys born in 2014
Saturday, August 29, 5:05 PM, Court 1: Girls born in 2014
