We meanwhile reached 33 girls’ and boys’ teams that have submitted their registration for the 33rd International Schmelz Tournament, taking place from August 28th to 30th of this year. The latest addition is the youth squad from HSG Schwarzbach in Hesse, located near the financial hub of Frankfurt. They will enrich the competition in the girls’ 2012 age category with two teams. Please note: The registration deadline for Austria’s largest youth handball tournament, which is organized by WAT Fünfhaus, remains open until June 26, 2026.

With the two girls’ teams from Hessen, there are now four squads from Germany participating. Previously, TSV Vilsbiburg, the “Panthers” from Bavaria, and the “Piranhas” from SC Makranstädt near Leipzig had already registered for this year’s Schmelz Tournament. This increases the international competition for the many domestic youth teams in attendance. In addition to Germany, teams from Croatia and the Czech Republic have also signed up. While one team each from Lithuania and Ukraine have indicated they will be attending, their official registration is still pending.
From within Austria, teams from Lower Austria have recently joined the field. These include squads from Union St. Pölten and HC Stockerau, as well as a second team from Gänserndorf.
