Hooray, the new tournament jerseys have arrived

Simply cool! In just under three weeks, the 33rd International Schmelz Youth Handball Tournament, hosted by WAT Fünfhaus, will kick off. Whether you are a player, a fan, or just someone from the neighborhood around the Schmelz in Vienna’s 15th district, everyone can pick up a meaningful souvenir. This year’s tournament, running from August 28 to 30 (with August 27 as the arrival day), will feature special tournament jerseys for sale. They are simply cool, and this year they come not only in a new color but also with a new design. The individual price is 18 euros.

What makes these high-quality tournament shirts special is that all six participating nations are represented on the jerseys as a symbol of the event’s international spirit. The total of 55 participating girls’ and boys’ teams for the 2026 tournament come from six different countries: Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Lithuania, and Austria. This makes the International Schmelz Tournament hosted by WAT Fünfhaus the largest youth handball tournament in Austria.

Admission is free for all matches, ranging from the preliminary rounds on Friday (held on the outdoor courts at the university sports center on the Schmelz and at the Tellgasse 3 arena) to the final matches on Sunday, August 30, at the Wiener Stadthalle B. And as a reminder of the event, you can pick up the practical 2026 tournament shirt.
